Volleyball Recap: West Johnston Comes Up Short + How To Watch

West Johnston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lee County Yellow Jackets.

West Johnston wouldn't go down easily and took Lee County into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-10, 24-26, 19-25, 15-10.

Savanna Ford paced West Johnston's offense, picking up nine kills. Ford got some help from Carly Eagles and her 14 assists. Jadelyn McNutt controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

West Johnston now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Lee County, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. West Johnston is set to square off against their familiar foe Triton at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lee County will take on rival Western Harnett at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
