Silex lost a heartbreaker the last time they played New Haven, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's matchup. The Owls' pitchers stepped up to hand the Shamrocks a 10-0 shutout on Monday. The Owls might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by six runs or more this season.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Silex, bringing their record up to 16-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for New Haven, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Silex will venture away from home to face off against Winfield at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for New Haven, they will challenge Montgomery County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
