Softball Recap: Princeton Drops Highest Score of Season Against Forest Park

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Princeton). They came out on top against the Forest Park Rangers by a score of 20-16 on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Kamryn Elliott, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, six runs, and four RBI. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in April. Kassidy Whitehead also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Princeton hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Forest Park struck out eight times.

The victory made it two in a row for Princeton and bumps their season record up to 6-15. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 5-17 Forest Park and 6-11 South Spencer. As for Forest Park, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.

Princeton will head out to take on Bloomfield at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Forest Park, they will challenge South Spencer at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
