Basketball Recap: Forest Comes Up Short

Forest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Leake Central Gators, falling 73-49. While losing is never fun, the Bearcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 200th, while the Gators are ranked 16th).

Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Leake Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Leake Central beat Forest by a score of 73-49 later that day.
