Volleyball Game Preview: St. Ignatius College Preparatory Wildcats vs. Junipero Serra Padres

St. Ignatius College Preparatory hasn't had much luck against Junipero Serra recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The St. Ignatius College Preparatory Wildcats will head out on the road to square off against the Junipero Serra Padres at 5:30 p.m. The matchup will give St. Ignatius College Preparatory their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.

St. Ignatius College Preparatory was handed a three-set defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene last Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Cupertino 3-2. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Wildcats as it put an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Junipero Serra entered their tilt with Aragon on Tuesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Dons 3-0.

While Junipero Serra might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Aragon scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-20, 25-18.

Junipero Serra pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for St. Ignatius College Preparatory, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
