Volleyball Recap: Cape Fear Falls Short of Cardinal Gibbons in the Playoffs + How To Watch

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Cape Fear couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders on Thursday, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-10, 25-19.

Tabitha Newlin paced Cape Fear's offense, picking up ten kills. Newlin got some help from Sophia Wilson and her eight assists.

Cape Fear's defeat dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Cardinal Gibbons, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-3 record this season.

Cape Fear does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cardinal Gibbons, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Cleveland on the 25th.
