Softball Recap: Beulah Bobcats vs. Valley Rams
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Beauregard, Beulah was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by an 11-1 margin over the Valley Rams. The high-scoring effort was just what Beulah needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.
Kenly Yeager tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive pitching appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Abrianna Green, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Presleigh Duck, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.
On Valley's side, Amari Lowe was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2.
Beulah now has a winning record of 12-11-1. As for Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-22-1.
