Hilo strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Kea'au Cougars a 17-0 shutout. The Vikings' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Molly Davi made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up a single earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Madison Waiki was incredible, firing off three home runs, four runs, and five RBI while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Kaylie Caceres, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

Hilo kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in five consecutive contests.

Hilo pushed their record up to 10-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Kea'au, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

As of now, neither Hilo nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
