Volleyball Recap: FAU High Takes a Loss

FAU High was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Westminster Academy Lions. While the Owls didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Lions 25-17 in the first set.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:three sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-27, 26-24, 26-24, 15-11.

FAU High's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Westminster Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 2-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. FAU High will head out to challenge Grandview Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Westminster Academy, they will challenge Coral Gables at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
