Basketball Recap: Paulding Comes Up Short

Paulding lost against Wayne Trace back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Paulding Panthers opened the new year with a less-than-successful 66-53 loss to the Wayne Trace Raiders. The Panthers were up 53-34 in the third quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Paulding dropped their record down to 3-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Wayne Trace, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Paulding won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Wauseon at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Wayne Trace, they will challenge Ottoville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
