Living Word Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Catholic Central Hilltoppers. On the bright side, the seven- run performance marked the Timberwolves' highest-scoring game to date.

Living Word Lutheran saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eliza Anderson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple.

Living Word Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Catholic Central, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Living Word Lutheran will challenge Brookfield Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Knights will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Timberwolves surely won't give up without a fight. As for Catholic Central, they will square off against Lake Country Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Hilltoppers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lightning have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
