Softball Game Preview: Carlisle Bison vs. Bishop McDevitt Crusaders

Carlisle has gone a perfect 6-0 against Bishop McDevitt recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Bison will look to defend their home field against the Crusaders at 4:15 p.m. Bishop McDevitt took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Carlisle, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, Carlisle turned things around against Central Dauphin East on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 20-2 margin over the Panthers. The Bison's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Hershey hit Bishop McDevitt with a 15-run second inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Crusaders came up short against the Trojans, falling 17-2. The Crusaders have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Bishop McDevitt's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Carlisle, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-6.
