Softball Recap: Deering Comes Up Short

Deering extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 13 on Monday, dropping them down to 0-10. They came up short against the Marshwood Hawks, falling 10-0. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

As for Marshwood, they moved to 4-6 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won four matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

For Marshwood's part, their victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Lexey Boucher, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Deering is set to take on their familiar foe Cheverus at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Marshwood will challenge rival Noble at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
