Basketball Recap: Christian Academy-Louisville Takes a Loss

Christian Academy-Louisville lost against St. Xavier back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Christian Academy-Louisville Centurions had to suffer through a 95-60 loss at the hands of the St. Xavier Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Centurions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the Tigers are ranked second).

St. Xavier can attribute much of their success to Chief Cameron, who went 8 for 9 on his way to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Johnson, who went 5 of 7 en route to 13 points.

With the loss, Christian Academy-Louisville broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-7. As for St. Xavier, their victory bumped their record up to 12-2.

Christian Academy-Louisville will head out on the road to face off against North Oldham at 7:30 p.m. on January 21st. As for St. Xavier, they will be taking part in a tournament against Moore at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in St. Xavier's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
