Softball Recap: Scurry-Rosser Takes a Loss

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Scurry-Rosser and Palmer have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Thursday. The Wildcats fell 5-2 to the Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 on Tuesday.

Melanie Banks was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Scurry-Rosser's defeat dropped their record down to 9-18. As for Palmer, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-13-1 record this season.

Scurry-Rosser does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Palmer, they will challenge Troy at 5:00 p.m. on the 25th. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season.
