Heritage is a perfect 5-0 against Lightridge since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Pride will host the Lightning at 6:30 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
If Heritage beats Lightridge with eight runs on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Pride sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 victory over Tuscarora on Thursday. With that win, the Pride brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Sam Walsh looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2025.
On the hitting side, Cooper Miskelly was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Jack Mehlberg, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lightridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past Stone Bridge 4-3.
Everett Clark and Brody Clark did most of the damage at the plate: Everett got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, while Brody went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Sirois, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.
The victory made it two in a row for Heritage and bumps their season record up to 11-7. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Lightridge, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Heritage has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Lightridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Heritage beat Lightridge 8-3 when the teams last played back in April of 2023. Do the Pride have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lightning turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
