Softball Recap: Elizabeth Seton Find Success

Elizabeth Seton took a 17-run defeat the last time they faced off against Paul VI, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Elizabeth Seton had just enough and edged out the Paul VI Panthers 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Elizabeth Seton has posted since April 1, 2024.

Kimmya Sims spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on nine hits and racked up 17 Ks. Those 17 strikeouts gave her a new career-high.

At the plate, Keagan Cooper was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Camryn Wrigley, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4.

The win got Elizabeth Seton back to even at 1-1. As for Paul VI, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elizabeth Seton will venture away from home to take on Easton at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Paul VI, they will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Langley at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
