Football Recap: Two Rivers Takes a Loss

Two Rivers lost against Hampton back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Gators had to suffer through a 44-14 loss at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Gators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hampton had a senior duo take command as DJ Clarke rushed for 119 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries and Aden Williams rushed for 86 yards and a pair of scores. Williams didn't just play on offense: he also made three total tackles and defended two passes. Another player making a difference was Deondre Smith, who rushed for 62 yards and one TD.

Two Rivers now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Hampton, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Two Rivers and Hampton will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Gators are set to take on their familiar foe Glen Rose at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hampton will square off against rival Clarendon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
