Basketball Recap: GRACE Christian Skates Past Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Christ School, GRACE Christian was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill Lion 65-25. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 161st, while the Lion are ranked 534th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

GRACE Christian had a senior duo take command as Michael Phillips II dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten boards and A.J. Gladieux made all 6 shots he took for 13 points and four steals. Phillips II's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Knight, who posted six points.

GRACE Christian's win bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. GRACE Christian will square off against St. David's at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill, they will head out to square off against Neuse Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
