Softball Recap: Hatboro-Horsham's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Hatboro-Horsham was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Central Bucks South on Thursday. The Hatters' pitcher stepped up to hand the Titans an 8-0 shutout. The victory was some much needed relief for the Hatters as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Kennedy Conn made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Madison Karpovich was excellent, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Annabelle Deacon, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

The win got Hatboro-Horsham back to even at 7-7. As for Central Bucks South, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hatboro-Horsham will host Abington at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central Bucks South, they will welcome Central Bucks East at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
