Basketball Recap: White Station Comes Up Short

White Station lost against Bartlett back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The White Station Spartans fell to the Bartlett Panthers 54-50. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 95th, while the Panthers are ranked 28th).

Despite the defeat, White Station saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kyndall Reynolds went 6-for-11 to rack up 19 points and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Reynolds has scored all season. Amare Boothe was another key player, putting up 17 points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Leading Bartlett to victory were Anniya Bailey and Akya Woods. Bailey posted 13 points along with six assists and five rebounds, while Woods put up nine points. Bailey is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Faye Williams, who scored four points.

White Station is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-8. As for Bartlett, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-11 record this season.

White Station does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bartlett, they have already played their next game, a 37-32 victory against Houston on the 3rd.
