Volleyball Recap: Crescenta Valley Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Crescenta Valley can now relate to. They came up short against the Westlake Warriors on Saturday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Falcons have suffered since April 10th.

While Crescenta Valley ultimately came up short, they really made Westlake work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-18, 25-19.

Crescenta Valley's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 22-11. As for Westlake, their win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-9.

Crescenta Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Westlake, they will face off against Santiago at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Sharks will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight.
