Basketball Recap: Franklin Road Christian Find Success

Franklin Road Christian won the last time they faced Riverside Christian Academy, and Lakelyn Dempsey did her part to make sure it happened again. The Franklin Road Christian Minutemen took down Riverside Christian Academy 56-38 on Monday thanks in part to Dempsey, who went 5 of 9 en route to 16 points and eight rebounds. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2024.

Bryleigh Dempsey was another key player, putting up nine points and five boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played.

Franklin Road Christian's victory bumped their record up to 19-3. As for Riverside Christian Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin Road Christian will head out to take on Zion Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Riverside Christian Academy has already played their next match (against Boyd Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
