Preview: Lakeside Lutheran Warriors vs. Lodi Blue Devils
The Lakeside Lutheran Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Lodi Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Lakeside Lutheran is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lodi in Wisconsin (Lakeside Lutheran is ranked 128th, while Lodi is ranked 270th).
Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for Lakeside Lutheran, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 62-43 loss to Cambridge.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Ava Stein, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kieghtan Rank, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Lakeside Lutheran struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Lodi's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell 48-41 to Marshall.
Lakeside Lutheran has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. Lodi's record is now 2-5.
Lakeside Lutheran strolled past Lodi in their previous matchup back in February by a score of 64-47. Will Lakeside Lutheran repeat their success, or does Lodi have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
