Baseball Game Preview: Cedar Creek Cougars vs. North DeSoto Griffins

The Cedar Creek Cougars will challenge the North DeSoto Griffins at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Friday just wasn't the day for Cedar Creek's offense. They came up short against Riverside Academy on Friday, falling 7-0. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North DeSoto). They put the hurt on Jena with a sharp 11-2 victory on Thursday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Griffins with their most commanding win of the season.

The win made it two in a row for North DeSoto and bumps their season record up to 3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs over those games. As for Cedar Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
