Basketball Recap: Ramsey Comes Up Short

Ramsey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 54-45 to the Mt. Olive Wildcats. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.

Mt. Olive's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Matthew Bywater, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. With that strong performance, Bywater is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game. Dexter Frizzo was another key player, putting up ten points, to go along with seven assists and four steals.

Ramsey's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Mt. Olive, they moved to 1-3 with that win, which also ended their 14-game losing streak.

Ramsey wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, an 83-26 defeat against Sandoval on the 2nd. Mt. Olive has also already played their next game, a 50-24 loss against Gillespie on the 3rd.
