Baseball Game Preview: Christian Home Educators Fellowship Patriots vs. Faith Training Christian Academy

Christian Home Educators Fellowship is a perfect 5-0 against Faith Training Christian Academy since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Patriots will host Faith Training Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Christian Home Educators Fellowship has four straight victories, Faith Training Christian Academy has nine straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Trevor St. Cyr made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. St. Cyr was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hank Pearce, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Christian Home Educators Fellowship's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-7 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Luke Babin, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Everything went Christian Home Educators Fellowship's way against Faith Training Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in March of 2023, as Christian Home Educators Fellowship made off with an 11-1 victory.
