Basketball Recap: Attica Takes a Loss

Attica played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Seeger Patriots and fell 69-32. The Red Ramblers have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Attica's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Ronnie Matthews, who posted nine points and five boards, and DeCarlos Rudy, who earned eight points along with five rebounds and three blocks. Rudy is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

Ayden Winchester had a dynamite game for Seeger, going 7 of 9 on his way to 18 points. Another player making a difference was Jack Cole, who had 11 points and four steals.

Attica's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Seeger, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Attica didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 51-22 loss against Fountain Central on the 21st. As for Seeger, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 50-49 victory against Covington on the 21st.
