Basketball Recap: Sheldon Drops Highest Score of Season Against Everton

Sheldon is still winless after their contest against Everton on Friday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 64-61 heartbreaker at the hands of the Everton Tigers. One positive for the Panthers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Everton found their leader in sophomore Joshua Daniels, who dropped a double-double on 45 points and 16 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Daniels has scored all season. Another player making a difference was James Grisham, who went 5 of 8 en route to 10 points and six rebounds.

Sheldon's record is now 0-7. As for Everton, they moved to 1-6 with that victory, which also ended their 32-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sheldon and Golden City will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Everton, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bronaugh at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
