Volleyball Recap: Madison Smith and Brielle Wentz Secure Win for Abington Heights + How To Watch

Abington Heights won the last time they faced Pittston and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Comets put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Comets.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-10, 25-12.

Leading Abington Heights to victory were Brielle Wentz and Madison Smith. Wentz had five digs and four aces, while Smith had ten digs and two aces. Smith has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times she's played.

They weren't the only good server: Abington Heights was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in 13 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Abington Heights' win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Abington Heights and Pittston will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Comets will square off against rival Valley View at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Pittston is set to face off against their familiar foe MMI Preparatory School at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
