Baseball Recap: Holy Trinity Comes Up Short

The Holy Trinity Tigers didn't have quite enough to beat the Stagg Chargers on Tuesday and fell 2-1. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Holy Trinity saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jovanni Cortez, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Holy Trinity's loss dropped their record down to 10-9-1. As for Stagg, their win bumped their record up to 6-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holy Trinity will challenge Northtown at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Stagg, they will square off against Oak Lawn at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Chargers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season.
