Softball Recap: Irvin Rockets vs. Austin Panthers
Irvin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They came up short against the Austin Panthers, falling 19-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-2 back in March.
Kimberly De La Torre made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season. Mia Gonzales was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Irvin's defeat dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Austin, they moved to 10-15 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.
