Volleyball Recap: Hillside Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Hillside can bid farewell to their five-match losing streak thanks to their match on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Southern School of Energy and Sustainability Spartans. This was a revenge game for the Hornets: when they faced off against the Spartans back in March, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

While Hillside might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Southern School of Energy and Sustainability scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-22, 23-25, 25-23.

Hillside's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 4-10. As for Southern School of Energy and Sustainability, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hillside is set to square off against their familiar foe Wakefield at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Southern School of Energy and Sustainability will face off against rival Riverside-Durham at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
