Football Recap: Hall Comes Up Short

Hall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 34-25 to the Riverdale Rams. If the Red Devils were looking for revenge after losing 40-14 to the Rams when the teams met back in October of 2016, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Hall still got an impressive performance from Aiden Redcliff, who rushed for 122 yards and a pair of scores on only 12 carries.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Riverdale to victory, but perhaps none more so than Abe Krier, who rushed for 100 yards and one TD on only eight carries, and also threw for 87 yards and one touchdown on only eight passes. Another player making a difference was Caen Beckett, who rushed for 64 yards and a pair of scores.

Hall's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Riverdale, they moved to 5-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coming up, Hall will host Rockridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Red Devils will need to watch out since the Rockets have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups. As for Riverdale, they will head out on the road to square off against Sherrard at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
