Tyler HEAT added to the longest winning streak in TCAL Division II - District 2 (6 Man) this week by beating Phoenix Charter, 92-42. The win marks fifth in a row for the Tyler HEAT.
Tyler HEAT took down the FireBirds 92-42 last week, the largest margin of any game. Nathan Beggs threw for 145 yards and 3 touchdowns and ran for 202 yards in the win.
Tyler HEAT's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Beggs chipped in 202 yards. Daniel Beggs helped Tyler HEAT's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 75 yards.
Beggs was the best running back in the league this week. Isaiah Neidrauer also contributed to the rushing game with 46 yards on the ground.
5-foot-5 quarterback Dylan Alford of Marshall Christian Academy is the league leader in passing yards this season with 844. He has also thrown 15 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Levi Taylor. The Tyler HEAT star has 11 catches for 267 yards.
Next week's game between the Guardians and Tyler HEAT will feature an aerial matchup as Alford tests his arm against Beggs' defensive ability.
