Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Chatham Central

Chatham Central had won two straight games and Karaleigh Dodson did her part to make it three on Tuesday. The Chatham Central Bears blew past the Cummings Cavaliers, posting a 50-21 victory thanks in part to Dodson, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 boards. She has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last four times she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Sellers, who posted six points and 11 boards. Those 11 rebounds gave her a new career-high.

Chatham Central's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-6. As for Cummings, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chatham Central won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against South Davidson at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Chatham Central is facing South Davidson at the right time seeing as South Davidson is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Cummings, they and North Moore will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played.
