Recap: North Central Knights vs. Central Eagles
Even though the North Central Knights have not done well against the Central Eagles recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. North Central snuck past Central with a 58-53 win. The win was familiar territory for North Central who now have four in a row.
North Central was led to victory by Dylan Smith and Ethan Diles. Smith scored 21 points along with five rebounds and two steals, while Diles scored 23 points along with three steals. Diles hasn't dropped below two steals for 12 straight games. Another player making a difference was Jahleel Gaines, who scored 11 points.
North Central is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Central will take on York Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Chesterfield at 7:45 p.m. on January 26th.
