Baseball Recap: Farmington Makes It Six in a Row at Home

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Farmington and Seckman, and Farmington kept the tradition alive. The Knights walked away with a 6-3 win over the Jaguars on Thursday. This was payback for the Knights, who suffered a 15-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Arthur Robbins looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Colby Larkins, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Cooper Tripp was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Farmington's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-7. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Seckman, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-13.

Coming up, Farmington will be playing at home against Fox at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Knights 3.5, the Warriors 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. Seckman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
