Softball Recap: Carson Senators vs. Spanish Springs Cougars

Carson extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 9-13. They lost 19-0 to the Spanish Springs Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-1 on Saturday.

Carson saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lainey Miller, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

As for Spanish Springs, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games.

On Spanish Springs' side, they got a massive performance out of Izzy Chisholm, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. Hailey Robinson also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
