Volleyball Recap: DeSoto Central Takes a Loss

DeSoto Central lost against Lake Cormorant back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Jaguars took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lake Cormorant. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-23, 21-25, 25-19.

Lake Cormorant found their leader in sophomore Kayla Gonzalez, who had seven digs and two aces. Gonzalez also set a new season-high mark in assists with 16.

DeSoto Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Lake Cormorant, their win was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. DeSoto Central will take on Germantown at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lake Cormorant, they will welcome Lewisburg at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
