Gilmer is 8-1 against Carthage since February of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Gilmer Buckeyes will head out on the road to challenge the Carthage Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Carthage took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Gilmer, who comes in off a win.

Gilmer took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They snuck past Kilgore with a 42-37 victory.

Meanwhile, Carthage came up short against Chapel Hill on Saturday and fell 52-41. The loss continues a trend for Carthage in their matchups with Chapel Hill: they've now lost four in a row.

Carthage's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-15. As for Gilmer, their win bumped their record up to 5-19.

Gilmer came up short against Carthage in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 53-48. Can Gilmer avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
