Football Game Preview: Pinewood Christian Patriots vs. Terrell Academy Eagles

The Pinewood Christian Patriots will square off against the Terrell Academy Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Friday, Pinewood Christian ended up a good deal behind Bulloch Academy and lost 42-28. That's two games in a row now that the Patriots have lost by exactly 14 points.

Despite the loss, Pinewood Christian had strong showings from Banks Hearn, who threw for 262 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 12.5 yards per attempt, and Maddux Lewis, who picked up 124 receiving yards and two scores. Lewis' longest reception was for an incredible 81 yards.

Meanwhile, Terrell Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by Tiftarea Academy and fell 34-3.

Terrell Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Willis Henley and Flint Hendley. Terrell Academy got some further help from Lex Bryant: he picked up two sacks and made seven total tackles.

Terrell Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Pinewood Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 4-6.
