Volleyball Recap: Making Waves Academy Comes Up Short

Making Waves Academy and Redwood squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Making Waves Academy had to settle for second. They came up short against the Giants, falling 3-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Marlins haven't been shut out since back in March.

Making Waves Academy was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-22, 25-17.

Making Waves Academy's loss dropped their record down to 19-4. As for Redwood, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 24-6.

Making Waves Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Redwood, they will take on Head-Royce at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
