Softball Recap: Centennial Broncos vs. Chase County Longhorns        
        
		
             Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better  (just ask Centennial). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Chase County Longhorns  a   16-0 shutout  on Monday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Broncos with their most commanding win of the  season.
  Lynly Leif was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. What's more,  she also posted a .667  OBP, which is the highestshe's  posted  in her last 11  matchups. She was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
 In other batting news,  Meg Hoffschneider was  incredible,  going 2-for-2 with three  runs, a  triple,  and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Paityn Scheele, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Centennial  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .778. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
 The  victory made it two in a row for Centennial and  bumps their season record up to 7-24. As for Chase County,  they are  on  a  53-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-24.
 Centennial will be staying on the road  on Monday to face off against Bishop Neumann at 12:00  p.m. Bishop Neumann will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  win, something Centennial surely won't give up without a fight. Chase County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
