Paola was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 34-33 heartbreaker at the hands of the Wellsville Eagles. On the bright side, the 33- point performance marked the Panthers' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Paola's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Wellsville, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, Paola will be home for the holidays to greet Ottawa at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wellsville has already played their next game (against Osawatomie), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
