After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North Duplin, Union was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Hobbton Wildcats 3-2. This was payback for Union, who suffered a 6-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Union pushed their record up to 3-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those three games. As for Hobbton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6-1.

Looking ahead, Union will be playing in front of their home fans against Neuse Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hobbton, they will head out on the road to face off against Pender at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Hobbton is facing Pender at the right time seeing as Pender is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
