Basketball Recap: Mancos Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Mancos extended their losing streak to eight on Friday, dropping them down to 1-8. They were beaten by the Dolores Bears 60-26. The contest marked the Bluejays' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the loss, Mancos still got an impressive performance from James Potts, who posted 11 points. Potts has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Mitchell Smith was another key player, putting up six points.

As for Dolores, they pushed their record up to 7-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their 30-point performance the game before.

It was another big night for Koby McClellan, who went 7-for-15 to rack up 20 points along with eight assists and five steals. He has become a key player for Dolores: the team is 6-1 when he posts at least three steals, but 1-3 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Lane Johnson, who earned eight points and three blocks.

Coming up, Mancos will be playing in front of their home fans against Non Varsity Opponent at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dolores, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 75-62 win against Ouray on the 17th.
