Adna strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against the Napavine Tigers by a score of 11-7. The Pirates have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Jack Penington looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one hit in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Bryce Pine, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Beau Miller, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Adna pushed their record up to 16-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.4 runs over those games. As for Napavine, their loss ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-4.

Adna will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
