Softball Recap: Cary Takes a Loss

Cary lost against Holly Springs back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Cary lost 18-2 to Holly Springs. The Imps' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Cary saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Catherine Baker, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Baker hit this season.

Cary's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Holly Springs, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Cary is set to take on their familiar foe Apex Friendship at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Holly Springs will face off against rival Panther Creek at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
