Cave Spring is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Patrick Henry a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Cave Spring Knights will host the Patrick Henry Patriots at 5:00 p.m. Cave Spring is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, Cave Spring didn't have quite enough to beat William Byrd and fell 3-2.

Abe Chapmon made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Patrick Henry couldn't beat Christiansburg on Tuesday even though they stacked five runs on them in the sixth inning. The Patriots took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Demons.

Patrick Henry saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Turner Gusler, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Andrew Roberton also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Patrick Henry's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Cave Spring, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

Cave Spring got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April against Patrick Henry by a conclusive 26-6 score. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
